Computers resale value?
hello, i am an IT Professional (in training…) so i know what my computer is capable of, and im looking to build a brand new machine for $675. if this pc has a little if any resale value to it please describe where and for how much.
the computer is an old Sony Viao with a few upgrades here and there.
HDD is about 200 GB (unchanged)
Nvidia GeForce 9000 series 1GB (didnt come with system)
1 gb of DDR ram (512mb originally)
pentium 4 3.0ghz processor with hyper threading (original)
1 CD-Rom drive (plain cd drive)
1 DVD-Rom drive (no other special features that makes it unique)
and the motherboard is an ASUStek with some pretty standard stuff
idk how old this pc is but ive had it for quite a while. it was pretty high end when i bought it for around $2000 so hopefully ill get some value out of it… any suggestions?
It’s a decent Video card, but outside of that you will only get from $150 to $250 for the computer. Maybe a little more if you throw in the monitor, and it is a flatscreen. The problem is the processor is a P4, and everyone want Dual and Quad core procs at the moment. This is of course just my opinion.
