Is there a way to print notecards off of microsoft word? individual facts on each not card. 3×5 cards?
I hate writing out notecards for research projects. I have typed up my facts but need them on note cards. Is there a way to print them to each card?
If you’re willing to invest in a pack of Avery index card stock (three to a sheet), you can do them as “labels” this way:
In Word versions prior to Word 2007 (Vista):
1. Click the Tools->Letters and Mailings->Envelopes and Labels menu item.
2. Click the Label tab.
3. Click the Options button to find and select the Avery form for Index Cards (5388).
4. Click OK.
5. Back in the main dialog, click New Document.
This will give you a page laid out for index cards. The page actually contains a table, so I suggest you turn on the non-printing gridlines with the Table->Show Gridlines menu item. Save the file as a template and you can produce sets of index cards for as many research projects as you want.
In Word 2007:
1. Click the Mailings tab on the Ribbon.
2. In the Create group, click Labels.
3. Continue as in Step 3, above.
