inexpensive cold side dishes?
We’re going to be having a picnic for my daughters birthday, and I need some ideas on side dishes that are inexpensive to make, and cold there will be no electricity there. I’m making pasta salad, macoroni salad, cole slaw, jello jigglers, and wanted to make one more side, NOT potatoe salad.
fyi theres going to be about 40 people there.

A fruit tray (pineapple,cantaloupe, watermelon and honeydew) with dipping sauce.. (take a small package of strawberry jello, mix half of the package (gently) with a container of cool whip (whipped topping). You can use 2 tubs of whip with the entire jello package if you need to double the recipe.
It was a hit at a potluck dinner – and it’s somewhat healthy.
