Le Creuset Cookware – Which ones should I buy?
I want to buy some Le Creuset pots as a gift but my budget only stretches to a couple of pieces.
The round casserole pot looks good. Also, what would be best for a ceramic hob? Cast Iron or stone?
What would you recommend?

As far as the ceramic hob is concerned, the stone would be a lighter weight. However, the stone cookware does not retain the heat as long as the cast iron. It is great for baking. My mother has some and loves it. That being said, Cast Iron is designed to be more stove to oven and slow cooking. I have a Cast Iron casserole dish that I love.
A casserole dish of any kind is always useful. If I had to pick 2 more pieces, I would say a Dutch/French oven and a Sauce Pan. The Dutch ovens are great for roasts and soups. The sauce pan is a very versatile dish itself.
In all honesty though, it really depends on the type of cooking this person does. If you go to a cookware store like Le Creuset or Williams Sonoma, the staff there are very helpful and would be able to give you some good ideas too.
