
Putting Chicken Breast straight into Deep Fat Fryer?
Can you cook a raw, skinless chicken breast in a deep fat fryer without having to do anything to it? I’ve read about having to coat it in sauces and leave it in the fridge for hours beforehand. Is this nescessary or just a suggestion?
Also, when cooking at 190o with chicken covered in batter, how long should it take approx? What signs on the chicken am I looking for to tell its ready to eat
You can, but it would be really bland. One simple simple way is to season it, then coat it in flour then fry it.
Or you can season it. coat it in flour, dip in egg wash or buttermilk, then dip in flour again then fry for a crunchier fried crust.
