Aluminum is not a carcinogen. Teflon and other non-stick surfaces can be. If you have old pots with any non-stick surface peeling off thrown them out so you don’t ingest the flakes. Eating off non-stick cookware is not a problem. The whole aluminum issue was a misunderstanding in the first place. The man who did the research everyone was quoting was shocked how it blew into a big fat deal. His study was on the brains of people with Alzheimers and he found more aluminum in the autopsied brains of Alzheimers patients than in the general population. He doesn’t know how it got there because that wasn’t of his study but people started blaming aluminum cookware for some bizarre reason. Probably for lack of a better scapegoat.
